Pleasantly Suffering…

Servant of Christ Jesus

1 Peter 4:16 – “Yet if anyone suffers as a Christian, let him not be ashamed, but let him glorify God in this matter.”

I recently discovered that suffering according to the will of God isn’t actually suffering. Although the world may look upon our situations as suffering, our love for God is so strong that we are thankful to Him during any situation, circumstance, or trial that we may face. We stand firm on His promise that He will deliver us from our afflictions. We as Christians know there is no greater pain nor suffering than the persecution that Christ faced on the cross at Calvary. For His sacrifice, for us to be saved, we will endure suffering with open arms and opens hearts, as He did, when His blood poured out for us. As children of God, we know everything we go through is for a purpose, for the glory of God, and we shall not be moved nor shaken. Although we are a sheep among wolves, we will not be devoured. They can take our lives, but our souls and spirits belong to the great faithful Shepherd who paved the path for our salvation.
