Come and See!
John 1:46 reads “And Nathanael said to him, “Can anything good come out of Nazareth?” Philip said to him, “Come and see.“
At times, we question the ability of common people to do great things. Jesus, being no where near common, was questioned His entire life. From this verse, we see the stereotypical comments by Nathanael because Jesus was physically from Nazareth. However, as Jesus did, He has always done. He takes the most unexpected people and circumstances to glorify His name. Some of the greatest preachers, I can attest are those who lived sinful lives prior to walking with the Lord. They deliver the true message of repentance and salvation because they experienced it, and fully allowed Christ into their lives to take over. Take notice, Jesus used the common men who were once lost sinners to follow Him and proclaim His glory to do mighty works and He does the same with us through His Holy Spirit.
