Happy New Years!
Genesis 1:1 from the Amplified Bible reads “IN THE beginning God (prepared, formed, fashioned, and) created the heavens and the earth.”
Friends and family, it is a new year! We will make many vows and resolutions to ourselves that we will not be able to keep. We will try hard but due to our lack of confidence and self-motivation, we will fall short. As Jesus said, “the spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak.” It is a cycle that we go through consistently (especially each January). However, let us make a vow to God that we will allow Jesus the Christ, who while being blameless himself, was crucified on a cross that was meant for us, and took our sins far away to a place no man should have to see, to be our Lord and Savior and that all who believe in Him shall have eternal everlasting life. Once we make that vow, let us pray that He continues to overflow our spirits with His Holy Spirit to dwell within us so we may not live life based on our own understandings, but rather on the Will the Father has set for us. Let us walk together, as brothers and sisters united under the blood of Christ, and friends that would lay down our lives just so one lost sheep may come to know and have fellowship with the GREAT and MIGHTY Shepherd! How glorious is it to see the Him place that sheep on His shoulder and say “Rejoice with me, for I have found my sheep which was lost!”
