What Can’t I do?

Servant of Christ Jesus

Philippians 4:13 reads I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.”

There is nothing that I can do on my own, but through Christ, I can do ALL things. The word “can” is an auxiliary verb that means to be able to, have the ability, power or skill to. The word “all” is an adjective that means the greatest possible, every, and any. The word “through” means in at one end, side, or surface, and out at the other end. Christ is the King of Kings, Lord of Lords, the Alpha and the Omega, the Great Shepherd, a friend who laid down His life for His friends, and our brother before our Father in Heaven. The word “strengthen” means to make stronger, more mental power, force, or vigor; to have more power of resisting force, strain, wear, etc.

So after analyzing each word, we are able to determine we have the ability, the power, the skill to do the greatest possible, any and everything, when we pass it through, bring it in one end and out the other end of Jesus the Christ, the King of Kings, Lord of Lords, our friend, our brother, the Lamb of God, the One and Only, Mr. Salvation and Grace himself, who is the one who is our funnel that makes us stronger, give us more mental power, force vigor, and more power to resist force, strain, wear, etc. So my dear friends and family, this is truly what it means to be strengthened by Christ. Amen!
