Speak!

Servant of Christ Jesus

In Acts 8:9-10, the Lord spoke to Paul in the night by a vision, “Do not be afraid, but speak, and do not keep silent; for I am with you, and no one will attack you to hurt you; for I have many people in this city.”

How beautiful it is to have the Lord reassure us that He is with us. When we are getting weak in our own strength, the Lord, our God rises us and strengthens us. He tells us that He is with us. Our King is so great that while being on His holy heavenly throne, He is still down here with us and in us. It is satisfying to see how He tells Paul no one will attack Him to hurt Him. Paul traveled to many places, and was surely persecuted, but all He faced never hurt him. He took comfort in knowing all he suffered was to glorify Christ and their was no pain or hurt in that comfort. Let us thank Jesus for giving us the strength to speak and being with us as our friend, provider, and protector.
