Servant of Christ Jesus
Let’s examine a basketball game in the fourth quarter with 10 seconds to go; the home team‘s down by two and the clock winds down to one second, the star player shoots the three point shot, the commentator says he is going for it all and the shot…
My beloved, when we are in Christ, we must be in Him to the fullest so that His glory shines throughout the world of darkness. We cannot have one foot in this world and the other foot in Christ. Either we give our life entirely to Christ or we keep our pagan ways. So many times, we as Christians partake in the worldly dealing because we find it fun and interesting. We miss our old nature and we try to lie to God, but we are only lying to ourselves because God knows our hearts. Sin is degrading and disgusting and we should not find pleasure in it. Oh yes, our flesh surely finds pleasure in it, but our flesh will surely die at the Father’s calling. Let’s not let our spirit die with our flesh. Continue reading

Servant of Christ Jesus
In Matthew 10:32-33, Jesus tells His disciples “Therefore whoever confesses Me before men, him I will also confess before My Father who is in heaven. But whoever denies Me before men, him I will also deny before My Father who is in heaven.”
When we are at the crossroad, it will be time to make a decision. With the hearing of the gospel, what will you do with the Son of God, the Lord Jesus Christ? Will you take a stand for Him and confess Him before man, or will you deny Him? At times, we can become so self-conscious about what people think about us. However, we must stop looking across and start looking up. The only person who has a worthy opinion of us is the Lord Jesus Christ. Nobody but Jesus is our security and salvation for eternal life. Our final destination, our last ride, has already been paid for by God through the death of His only begotten Son Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, which sealed our salvation with His blood, and gave us life, eternal life, life more abundantly, through His resurrection. So at the crossroad, what will you do? My prayer is that we all make the right decision. In the name of the risen Lord Jesus Christ. Amen.

Servant of Christ Jesus
In Matthew 10:29-31, Jesus describes to the disciples how much God truly knows us, loves us, and cares for us:
29 Are not two sparrows sold for a copper coin? And not one of them falls to the ground apart from your Father’s will. 30 But the very hairs of your head are all numbered. 31 Do not fear therefore; you are of more value than many sparrows.
Two simple words to describe God would be “God cares.” Just the fact that He knows so much more about us than we could ever know says a lot. He knows exactly how many strands of hair we, His children, have on our head; is there any greater love than this? Any greater care? If someone is to say to you they love you more than God, as them to count the strands of hair on your head. Now if God can control what happens to the very life of a single sparrow, why won’t we allow God’s will to be in control of our live? We are much more valuable than a sparrow. These are not my words, but the words of the Lord Jesus Christ. My beloved, trust in the Lord, our God, that His will for our lives is perfect and pleasing.

Servant of Christ Jesus
In Matthew 10:28, Jesus tells His disciples “And do not fear those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. But rather fear Him who is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.”
Who are you afraid of? What is the worse they can do to you? Many times we become fearful of those who are against the Lord Jesus Christ. However, we must not forget they have no power or dominion over us. They may persecute, torture, and torment our flesh, but never forget we have our hiding place, our sacred ground, our safe refuge, our comfort in the Lord Jesus Christ. We must not sacrifice our hope in Jesus Christ because we are afraid of what a few mere men who are lost may do to us. My beloved, stand strong in the Lord Jesus Christ by the power of the Holy Spirit. Avoid confrontations and disputes, but if placed at a crossroad, stand up and strong and let all who question know you are a child of God. Amen.
