A Physician for the Sick
Jesus says to the Pharisees in Matthew 9:12 “Those who are well have no need of a physician, but those who are sick.“
So many times we close ourselves in a circle of believers that we preach and share to each other what we already know. There is nothing wrong with that; it is great encouragement. However, we must also extend ourselves to non-believers to share the love of Jesus Christ with them. It is easy to turn our backs to them and say “hopefully they find Jesus.” Who turned their backs on us and said “hopefully we find Jesus?” Are we not thankful for the persistence in those who loved us by the power of the Holy Spirit to capture our lives in Christ’s name? They shined the light given to them by our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ when we were in a very dark place. Let us not turn off our light to the lost. They may not yet know the Lord, but let us continue to do our part with the hope that they will open their hearts. When have we shared enough? Let it be when we depart from this life here in the world. Even from our flesh in the grave and our Spirit with the Lord Jesus Christ in Heaven, we can leave a final request that those who do not know the Lord come to know Him. Amen.
