They Ridiculed Jesus

Servant of Christ Jesus

In Matthew 9:23-25, Jesus is on His way to heal a sick girl, but by the time she gets there, He is advised she is already dead.

23 When Jesus came into the ruler’s house, and saw the flute players and the noisy crowd wailing, 24 He said to them, “Make room, for the girl is not dead, but sleeping.” And they ridiculed Him. 25 But when the crowd was put outside, He went in and took her by the hand, and the girl arose.

They ridiculed Jesus. Nothing has changed. Non-believers still ridicule the Lord Jesus Christ because they believe He is not able to do what He does everyday in our lives. They ridicule what they do not know. They ridicule Whom they do not know. Thank You God and thank You Jesus there are bold believers who preach the gospel of Jesus Christ and that He is all that we will ever need in our lives. The outsiders look in at our situations and tell us to look at the state we are living in, but we MUST ask back look at the state that “you” are living in. They have stuff but they don’t have life; we may have nothing, but we do have everything. Let us not conform ourselves to be seen acceptable to the world. Let us boast of the presence, of the glory, and of the ability of the Lord Jesus Christ in which we are saved through His death on a cross for our sins, being blameless Himself, but caring all of our sins, iniquities, and transgressions to a place far away that thanks be to God we will never have to see for ourselves, but through the love and faithfulness of our Father God, the boundaries of Hades could not hold the Lord Jesus Christ that He was raised, resurrected on the third day to give us a new life in Him. If we shall be ridiculed for our faith and trust in the Lord Jesus Christ, then so be it. Are we more worthy or of importance than the Lord Jesus Christ that we shall not be ridiculed in and for His name’s sake?
