Shake Off the Dust
Too many times, Christians are looked upon as being abrasive and aggressive when we are sharing the Word of God. Although our love for God makes us to jump up and proclaim our love for Him, we must remember that Christ was humble and easy at heart. He never forced Himself upon anybody. As disciples of Christ, we must remember this and take the same approach.
Recall, when Jesus sent out the disciples, remember his instructions to them. He specifically said “And whoever shall not receive you nor hear your words, when you depart from that house or city, shake the dust from your feet. “ (Matthew 10:14) Notice how Jesus did not command them to get into debates or strenuous conversations that lead to nowhere with people who are not willing to listen on accepting and having a personal relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ. He is so very gentle and humble at heart that He will allow those who do not believe on Him to go down a path of destruction if that is what they want. Continue reading
