Why Even Worry?
Matthew 14:21 tells us the multitude that Jesus fed were about five thousand men, besides women and children.
Why even worry? If our Lord fed five thousand men with their wives and children, which we can estimate about fifteen thousand people more or less with only five loaves of bread and two fishes, how much more can He do for our individual needs? He had twelve baskets of food left over after feeding about fifteen thousand people, yet we still try so hard to go through life on our own strength and ability. Why must we wait until we are on our last breath of life to turn to God? Isn’t failing time and time again through our own strength depressing enough? God never fails. Let’s bring our hearts to Him, be patient, watch His salvation at work and let Him surprise us with the amount of life and love He puts in us through Jesus Christ. I have seen it happen with my own two eyes. Patience in certain situations and aspects of life is one of my biggest enemies. I do pray asking God to keep me from running ahead of Him so I don’t make more boneheaded mistakes. We have a tough enough time handling the wonders of the love that God pours out upon us. It’s just that amazing. To truly love the life we have, we must truly love the God who gave us this beautiful life which He wrote before we were even formed in our mother’s womb.
