Tired of Failing!
In Matthew 14:33, after the disciples saw Jesus walk on water, save Peter, enter the boat and calm the winds, they worshiped Jesus saying, ‘Truly You are the Son of God.”
We will believe in so many other “stuff” at an instance but takes us so long to truly believe in God, and sadly some people never do. How many times have we believed in a new diet, a new job, a new home, a new business idea to see it all fall flat on its face? In my lifetime so far, too many times for me to count. Why is it so difficult to believe in God? A lot of times it is because we have failed at everything else in life to the point we naturally believe God will fail us too. It is a vicious trap headed by the enemy who rejoices at our failures and shortcomings, and rejoices even more at our complete withdrawal from God and rejection of Jesus Christ. However, if we would turn to God and have open hearts willing to be obedient to Him, He will surely perform wonders upon wonders that we can believe and know that He is the one and only true living God. If we get to the point of opening our hearts to believe Jesus came to the earth to die for our sins, and through His death we were forgiven, God is so mighty and faithful to do the rest. Faith like a mustard seed; just that much faith and all things are possible. God is good! The Lord is merciful!
