In Matthew 16:28, Jesus says to His disciples, “Assuredly, I say to you, there are some standing here who shall not taste death till they see the Son of Man coming in His kingdom.”
How is it possible the apostles, disciples, and faithful followers of Jesus have been able to radically change the world the way it has been changed the past 2000 years? Only by the power of the Holy Spirit that God placed with them and with us which also lived in them and in us. The truth of God was revealed through them and is revealed on a daily basis to us as well. That is why Jesus is the most hated person. However, how were they and how are we able to know we are preaching the truth? Jesus reveals the kingdom of God to His faithful followers so we can be assured that there is no need to worry or fear, but to trust in Him and Him alone. Through the revelation of the kingdom of God to the apostles, and the revelations God makes to us daily as we draw close to Him through His Word, we have a blessed hope in Jesus Christ that we are going to be with Him in His presence in His kingdom soon enough. In part, we are already in His kingdom. We are IN Christ and Christ is sitting on His heavenly throne. We are up there with Him as He is down here with us. We are just waiting to catch up with eternity. We look forward to that glorious day that we will be home sweet home with Jesus Christ and all the pains of this life will be forgotten and left behind.
