All or Nothing

Servant of Christ Jesus

Let’s examine a basketball game in the fourth quarter with 10 seconds to go; the home team‘s down by two and the clock winds down to one second, the star player shoots the three point shot, the commentator says he is going for it all and the shot…

My beloved, when we are in Christ, we must be in Him to the fullest so that His glory shines throughout the world of darkness. We cannot have one foot in this world and the other foot in Christ. Either we give our life entirely to Christ or we keep our pagan ways. So many times, we as Christians partake in the worldly dealing because we find it fun and interesting. We miss our old nature and we try to lie to God, but we are only lying to ourselves because God knows our hearts. Sin is degrading and disgusting and we should not find pleasure in it. Oh yes, our flesh surely finds pleasure in it, but our flesh will surely die at the Father’s calling. Let’s not let our spirit die with our flesh. Continue reading

Crossroad

Servant of Christ Jesus

In Matthew 10:32-33, Jesus tells His disciples “Therefore whoever confesses Me before men, him I will also confess before My Father who is in heaven. But whoever denies Me before men, him I will also deny before My Father who is in heaven.

When we are at the crossroad, it will be time to make a decision. With the hearing of the gospel, what will you do with the Son of God, the Lord Jesus Christ? Will you take a stand for Him and confess Him before man, or will you deny Him? At times, we can become so self-conscious about what people think about us. However, we must stop looking across and start looking up. The only person who has a worthy opinion of us is the Lord Jesus Christ. Nobody but Jesus is our security and salvation for eternal life. Our final destination, our last ride, has already been paid for by God through the death of His only begotten Son Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, which sealed our salvation with His blood, and gave us life, eternal life, life more abundantly, through His resurrection. So at the crossroad, what will you do? My prayer is that we all make the right decision. In the name of the risen Lord Jesus Christ. Amen.
